Summit Code of Conduct
Last updated · July 14, 2026
The State of Quantum Readiness Summit is a small, working-room event. Its value comes from the trust attendees have in each other. This Code of Conduct sets the baseline every attendee, speaker, sponsor, staff member, and vendor agrees to when they enter the room, the receptions, or online summit spaces.
Our commitment
We are committed to a harassment-free experience for everyone regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, age, religion, or technology preference.
Expected behavior
- Be respectful and professional. Assume good faith.
- Debate ideas, not people. Editorial disagreement is welcome; personal attacks are not.
- Respect that some attendees operate under employer or regulator communication constraints.
- Ask before photographing or recording another attendee, and honor "no" without argument.
- Follow venue and staff instructions, including any accessibility signage.
Unacceptable behavior
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- Unwelcome sexual attention or physical contact.
- Deliberate misgendering or use of "dead" names.
- Threats or incitement of violence.
- Publishing another attendee's private information without explicit permission ("doxxing").
- Sustained disruption of sessions, receptions, or online conversations.
- Recording or photographing anyone who has asked not to be recorded, or in restricted areas (working sessions with a "Chatham House rule" marker).
Reporting
If you experience or witness a violation, tell any QCI staff member wearing a purple lanyard on-site, or email conduct@quantumcoreinstitute.com. Reports are handled confidentially by the QCI conduct team. Retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith is itself a violation.
Enforcement
QCI may take any action it deems appropriate, up to and including a warning, expulsion from the Summit without refund, revocation of sponsorship benefits, and, where warranted, referral to law enforcement.
Scope
This Code applies to the Summit venue, official receptions and dinners, the summit livestream and Q&A, and any QCI-branded online space (mailing lists, chat, social).
